Programme Architecture

The two-day workshop moved through a structured arc – establishing context and core principles on Day 1, building into coaching styles, employee types, and leadership alignment, then shifting to live practice and role-play on Day 2, closing with team mapping and personal action planning to embed Situational Leadership into each participant’s daily management approach.

Core Session Focus Areas

Managing Team

Situational Leadership & Setting SMART Goals

The workshop opened with business context alignment and expectation setting. Participants explored the principles of Situational Leadership and the key distinctions between leaders and managers. Live discussions allowed participants to share real employee challenges they face. The trainer introduced the SMART goals framework, with participants setting their own objectives for personal development or performance improvement.

Client Management

Applying Varied Coaching Approaches

Participants learned about the four distinct coaching styles and how to match each to the right employee type. The trainer introduced the 4 WHYs framework for conveying messages effectively, and participants were introduced to the GROW model – a non-directive questioning approach that helps leaders coach rather than direct, empowering team members to find their own solutions.

Corporate Training

Types of Employees & Leadership Styles

This session provided a practical understanding of the four categories of employees – categorised by skill level and willingness – along with strategies for managing each type effectively. Participants analysed a real case study on adapting their management style accordingly. Day 2 then deepened this by exploring the four Situational Leadership Training styles and how to align each one to specific employee types in real scenarios.

Innovation Champion

Practising Situational Leadership & Action Planning

The programme concluded with an integration exercise where participants mapped their teams and determined the appropriate coaching approach for each team member. A role-play activity simulating a client networking event gave participants a chance to practise in a realistic context. The workshop closed with participants sharing key takeaways and committing to specific actions to strengthen their leadership going forward.

Participant Feedback

The feedback reflected both the value of the content and the interactive learning experience.
